Many aspects affect on blog’s attractiveness and popularity, in the other words, success.
- Your blog has to have a defined niche audience. You must know your blog’s topic and your targeted group of users.
- Many experts agree that the content is the most important one. The content has to be original and useful. The blogger should offer the solution of the user’s problem, gives relevant information or give instructions as an answer to a question “How to…”. In the other words, you should offer what your niche audience’s looking for. Of course, content’s formatting is important, too. The proper using of lists, letters (bold, italic…), images, paragraphs, headings, etc., influences on rankings by search engines and grab reader’s attention.
- On the third place, but not less important is a title. A properly chosen title, with appropriate keywords, highly ranks in SEO, catch the user's eye and is a crucial factor in a reader's decision to read a post or not.
- If you’re passionate if you enjoy writing, and if you have knowledge about your topic, the next aspect, regularly posting, will not be a problem to you. But, be careful, too many posts can overwhelm your readers and you.
- Your posts and information in them must be updated. Nobody wants to read out-of-date facts, and probably he’ll quit of reading your post if he finds them.
- One more thing you can pay attention to is a post length. Experts mostly agree that post should have between 250 and 1000 words.
- When somebody reach your blog, it’s desirable to find easily what he’s looking for. Yes, we speak about navigation. For example, if you selling goods via blog, a user must easily reach the information about a desirable item, easily find and fill the order and pay for it.
